Neighbour Hood Support
Steps for setting up a Neighbourhood Support Group

Step 1 Make Contact
  • Contact your local Neighbourhood Support Co-ordinator listed under Contact Us on this website
  • Request an information pack
Step 2 Find Members
  • Select the neighbours you would like to join (8-10 households is recommended but choose any number to suit)
  • Contact the Neighbourhood Support Co-ordinator and arrange a suitable time, date and place for the initial meeting with your neighbours
Step 3 First Meeting
  • The Co-ordinator will provide information to derive the maximum benefit for the group and will distribute information packs and stickers
  • Elect your group Contact Person and Deputies
  • Complete a Contact List of Members using the provided template
  • The Co-ordinator will arrange for the installation of street signs
Step 4 Follow Up
  • Distribute copies of the Contact List of Members to the Group.   The information on this list must remain confidential to the group members.
  • Set up a contact list/communication system (“phone tree”)
  • Plan to meet again. Try to get together socially once a year - perhaps during Neighbourhood Week which is held annually in November
