Quarryman's Trail – Halswell. Work is under way on the section of cycleway between
Victors Road and Te Hapua in Halswell at the intersection of Sparks Road and Hendersons Road.
The cycleway will connect Halswell to the shared pathways in South Hagley Park
and the central city via Hoon Hay and Somerfield.
There is also a connection to the Southern Lights and Nor'West Arc cycleways.
Nga Puna Wai Sports Hub – For the first time in eight years,
Christchurch's top young athletes have been able to compete on home turf.
The hub has hosted the Canterbury Primary Schools Athletics Championships for the first time,
bringing together more than 1700 children from 180 schools.
Dyers Pass Road – "No stopping" restrictions have been supported for near the Dyers Pass Road-Overdale Drive intersection,
along with a "Stop" sign and "no passing" lines from the Cracroft Terrace intersection.
Parking restrictions – Several "no stopping" restrictions have been backed for sections of Maryhill Avenue,
Holliss Avenue and the Centaurus Road-Lascelles Street intersection.
A P3 school drop-off and pick-up restriction is planned for Rowley Avenue.
Funds raised by GOOD SPOT support community projects happening in the city.

No one has made it through life without someone else's help'
Do you know someone who would enjoy visiting an older person on a weekly basis?
We are looking for Volunteer Visitors in Kaiapoi, Rangiora and Eastern Christchurch.
If you are available Mon-Fri during working hours

We hold several community events: park/reserve plantings and community picnics.
We do a regular clean-up of the Ashgrove Reserve, the last clean-up including a sausage sizzle.
We have an annual neighbourhood picnic, which this year was very well attended
over 100 including the Silverbacks Ukulele Orchestra.

Welcome from Mary McLean Place
Mary McLean has an Oak
Beneath which may gather some folk
To pass time of day
In a neighbourly way
To share the latest news or a joke.

Hello to the Heathcote Neighbourhood
People are finding Heathcote Neighbourhood to be a very friendly and helpful group of people.
Something is always happening 'in the valley'.
The veggie stall between the Tavern and Art
Craft Shop is marvellous as people put their surplus veggies and fruit there
for anyone to collect instead of throwing away.
Also I find the April Freecycle Day a good way to get rid of unwanted items
